Are You Stuck in Your Business? Here’s Why

Do you feel like you’re making every effort to move forward in your business but just aren’t getting anywhere? Maybe you invest in mentors and coaching, but you’re frustrated because you’re not seeing the promised results. Perhaps you feel like business success is meant for others, and you just wish there was a magic solution that would make it all work.

What if I told you that you might be the one limiting your business growth?

Money blocks can come in many forms and often play a considerable role in stalling your progress.

The only way to overcome these obstacles is to clear them, and I’m here to help you do just that.

Here are three major ways you might be limiting your business growth right now:

1. Investing in Personal Development but Not Practical Tools

As an entrepreneur, there’s immense pressure to spend a lot on self-development, including courses and mentors. While self-improvement is crucial for success, it’s equally important to balance this with investing in practical aspects of your business that directly contribute to making more money.

“Invest in yourself” has become a popular mantra, but my aha moment came when I was about to spend five figures on a mastermind program. Just before hitting buy, I realized that despite being willing to spend a fortune on coaching, I was still handling all aspects of my business myself.

I was not operating within my zone of genius at all. I was running around, trying to be everything for my business, rather than focusing on what I was good at and outsourcing the rest.

Outsourcing tasks outside my zone of genius would cost far less than that coaching program! So, I decided to invest in practical things like:

  • Hiring an assistant for a few hours a week to manage my inbox (my biggest stress)
  • Getting a bookkeeper to handle my monthly reports and simplify tax time
  • Employing a designer to refresh my website branding (instead of doing it myself)
  • Paying someone to clean my house (so I could focus on my business)
  • Hiring a part-time nanny for some child-free time to work on my business

Before you sign up for a course or coach out of FOMO and slick marketing, ensure that you’re spending money on things that are right for your stage of business and will truly move you forward.

I’m a big fan of self-development, but too many entrepreneurs have an unbalanced approach, investing heavily in themselves while skimping on things that would make their lives easier.

2. Stop Waiting for the Silver Bullet

Building a successful business requires consistency, not a magical solution. The truth behind successful six or seven-figure businesses is often quite boring.

I learned this myself after attending a high-end business coaching day. The speaker, who ran a ten million dollar business, shared strategies that were incredibly basic. I thought he was saving his “real secrets” for the next session, but that was it!

The lesson is clear: there is no silver bullet for success in business. People often ask me what the “one thing” was that upleveled my business. The truth is, I did a lot of unglamorous work for years, and I did it consistently.

If you want success, stick to the basics consistently. For me, that’s blogging regularly, providing free and consistent content to the Lucky Bee community, and making regular offers for my courses like Money Bootcamp. I haven’t deviated from this plan for years.

Going deep into your zone of genius will get you much further than trying a new strategy every month.

3. Prioritize Mindset Work

Many people tell me that working on their money mindset is something they “want to do

... but they just don’t have the time.

Or they think it's a “nice to have” luxury that they can't afford right now.

However, mindset work is not just a luxury; it’s essential. If you don’t address your beliefs and money blocks, you’ll sabotage your success and limit your business growth.

Mindset work is more important than any business strategy.

You need to make time for your money mindset, treating it as a critical part of your business operations.

Without it, everything will feel harder.

Mindset work is an ongoing process, not a one-time solution. To keep growing, you need to work on continually and clear those blocks. I regularly do mindset work and clear my own blocks to reach new levels of business success. It never stops, but it does get more accessible and more rewarding as you see results.

Take Action Now

So, if you’re feeling stuck, it might be time to look inward. Balance your investments in personal development with practical business expenses, stop waiting for a magical solution, and prioritize your mindset work.

Addressing these areas can help you clear the blocks holding you back and finally start making real progress in your business. Your future success starts with the steps you take today.
